  Projects

(refer to the Donations Section for additional information)

Monetary donations and labor are welcome on all projects.

CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

We are currently accepting donations for a new children’s playground set. Our goal is to replace the unsafe existing playground equipment with safer and nicer equipment. The new playground will help Church attendance and it will help create an environment in which children and parents feel more comfortable. You can find more information about this initiative, including ways to help at: http://penjalice.spaces.live.com, or contact Dejan Subotic, the coordinator, at 425 – 820 9500.

 New Facilities

By consent of the Stewardship at the 2006 Annual Meeting, the Facilities Committee will be reformed and reinvigorated.  The Church Board President, Pete Lalich, has written a summary of what is to be expected in 2006 in regards to new land:

I am sending this letter to clarify any confusion or doubt about our intentions for new church property. The Church Board is still looking for new property to build a new church, a hall, parking and any other amenities depending on the property and cost. Our current property is not adequate for expansion or major improvements. We have a committee that reviews all recommended property for purchase. We have specific guidelines such as property size, location, cost, etc. We have looked at property in the past but have not found anything that met our needs. Please let any of the Church Board members know if you see any property that could meet our future church needs. Keep in mind that we are constantly trying to raise money for our future property and church. Just because there has not been any current activity, it does not mean that the future property and church is dead.  Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. Also, we still must maintain our current property. We are continuing the necessary repairs and upkeep on our current church property. Any proposed major purchases or repairs will be presented to the parish stewards in good standing for a vote. With God’s help our parish will move forward.
